St. Patrick's Day Cocktails from Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey!

With over 34 million U.S. residents claiming Irish Ancestry (almost nine times the population of Ireland itself!), March 2009 is the time for St. Patrick's Day celebrations nationwide!

From parades - Boston's is the oldest, New York's the biggest, and Hot Springs, Arkansas' the shortest - to the green rivers in Chicago and San Antonio, green beer in every pub and green hair on the truly enthusiastic, May 17, 2009 will be a day to remember indeed.

Please find festive Tullamore Dew St. Patrick's Day cocktails below.

Tully Shamrock
1 part Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey
6 large mint leaves
1 scoop of sugar
Splash of water

Muddle mint leaves, sugar and water. Fill glass or mug with shaved or crushed ice and add Tullamore Dew. Top with more ice and garnish with a mint sprig and straws.

Serve in a rocks glass

Irish Gold
2 parts Tullamore Dew
2 parts Ginger Ale
1 part
Splash of Orange Juice
1⁄2 part of Peach Schnapps

*Combine in an ice-cube filled Collins or specialty glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.(Highball no shake)

Authentic Irish Coffee (hot)
1. Fill an Irish coffee glass with very hot water to pre-heat then empty.

2. Pour hot coffee into hot glass until it is about 3/4 full.

3. Drop in 2 cocktail sugar cubes; stir until sugar is thoroughly dissolved.

4. Add full jigger of Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey for proper taste and body.

5. Top with a collar of lightly whipped cream by pouring gently over a spoon.

6. Enjoy it while piping hot.
